L200 Barbarian 2015 overheated and the garage said the head gasket has goon, repaired £1800

Less than 400 miles later and engine lost coolant and now the garage is saying the block needs replacing?

I would of thought that is there was a fault with the block it would of been spotted once the head had been removed?
