i am going to throw a big girly hissy fit soon lol

sometimes, not all the time, my 05 animal holds back and sounds like the turbo is sucking loads of air.. i dont get an engine management light on or anything, it can last between one second and 10.. if i put the clutch down and rev hard it clears and i get a puff of smoke/soot out of the exhaust, no other times do i get smoke or soot.

its decatted and i was told it may be the egr valve so i have blanked this off.

also been told by a turbo specialist that if it was my turbo it would be blatantly obvious as it would make a lot of noise etc..

any help would be gratefully received...

Chris, have a good check on your air pipes to and from the intercooler on the top of the engine, checking for any cracks or splits.
Do you get any other sysmptoms when this happens... 4x4 light or hard brake pedal ?

Mine is hesitant sometimes between 2,000 and 2,500 revs, just a slight lift of the loud pedal and then flat down again sorts this, always cleared itself after doing a fuel filter change dont get any sucking air sound though

No lights or hard pedal mate. Checked the big inter cooler pipes today. Seem ok. One small pipes looks a bit shit so might get one of those. Don't know what it does though

Recently had a full service inc filter

has it only started since the service chris ????
