Given my reputation for ripping into ebay truck adverts, I am reserving comment.

I am proud, though, of my young padawans. Do not hold yourselves back, grasshoppers...

Myself I would be wondering why on earth would you spend 4k on a truck which at the most you get for it is 5k when you could sell the parts and get a fair whack back,we all love our trucks and I would not like to be in that position but I think its one to walk a way from he has not replaced the new engine and does not explain what was done to get it back on the road,I would however make him an offer for the case of bud but we all look at things differently and it could be a great buy

Tony my thought too, if it siezed solid as stated the it would need liners and pistons, rings etc minimum to get it back on the road, I personally think this will have a very loud ticking just counting down to when it goes bang again..

For a truck that straight and a story with that much work to get it back on the road, their asking price is robbing themselves, that, or as was mentioned above there's a few porkies being told and it wasn't 100% fixed or was just botched together so that it runs

Don't know if I missed something but I read it that after the guy he originally sold it to in Nov 2012, who then drove it home with no water in it.....it then had a new Milners Long Engine....So why would it be a bodge up??

Personally think he was too kind to take it back of the idiot who drove with no water in it .........thats why you write sold as seen on the receipt!

@LezT ....yeah I saw that ...but I thought ( reading the ad )...that then the seller took it back and then put a new engine in......so surely it should be ok?? ( maybe I'm just misunderstanding the ad! )

Not re read it myself either Mr K I thought it had an engine was then sold and then siezed, he gave the buyer his money back, worked on it and is now reselling it.
It was early this morning when I read it so very likely I got the story all co**ed up...whats new there then......

I just re read it and the 'had a new engine' came before the I sold it and the guy siezed it... I presumed ( presumption being the mother of all F**k ups) that the events were in some sort of order, seems not to be the case though...
£4K is way more than a Milners long or full engine...

Well, there's pretty minimal interest in it at the moment, 1 bid at £3k.

TBH I think he was just too honest in the ad - he shouldn't have put all that history as it will just scare off potential buyers.
