FREE TO GOOD HOME - Pair of Bridgestone Duelers 4mm-ish...

#1 by Willibob , Wed Feb 05, 2014 3:53 pm

I'm just about to go get my new tyres fitted.

My 2 back tyres have about 4mm left on them. If they're any use to anybody then I'll keep hold of them otherwise I'll let the garage bin them.

Size is 265/70/16

I'm in Fintry which is a few miles north of Glasgow but I work in Stirling.

Let me know quickly if you want 'em!!

Good of you mate but if im honest, you may struggle..they are probably the worst tire you can put on your truck..theres tonnes of horror stories on here about the duellers..

Just thought somebody might need a couple of ruuners temporarily.

They're coming off just now so I'll just bin 'em if no-one wants 'em.

Getting a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 fitted. :-)

Ideal if you need some tyres for an MOT or to replace some "on the limit" ones
I dont want to take this thread off topic but I ran duellers for about 6 years on mine and I thought they weren't too bad. They last for ages and other than being a bit pants on wet grass (especially when well worn) they did me fine. No road noise and good economy.
wasn't @Warriorbez after a couple of tyres a while back ?

What's the concensus on the AT3?

From what I've read on here they seem to be decent.

I think @crosswaters @Gezza @Warriorbez @stormforce and possibly @Fielder run these tyres
I've not heard any bad reports yet

Yeah I've been running them for 2 months now, THey have been great in serious mud, Offroad playgrounds and Very wet roads. I've taken mine into the deep mud probably every other week in that time.

Tony2chins also has the same as me and we found our trucks unstoppable when we went out (until i got mine beached lol)

I swapped Duellers for the AT3's and very happy. I find much better traction on wet roads when setting off......... and they look great now I've got the OWL on the outside

That's the Duelers binned now.

I only ran them since August and TBH I thought yhey were ok. Did a bit of minor off roading with them

The AT3s are on now and they really look the part. I never got this excited about putting tyres on my A6

I replaced mine with AT3 and love them. Despite everyone saying the Bridgestones were worthless I put them on ebay with my 17" pram alloys and they sold the same day for £400!

Yes, I've had 265 65 17 AT3's on since august..
It's true what everyone says.
Quiet, excellent in wet & dry.
I towed a sprinter van that had sank to its axle in wet mud easily.
