His l200. Is this a good price or not..i will advise him of your thoughts

2003 black over silver 4life.6 months tax an mot 140k has chrome roll bar job and rear canopy but the canopy has no rear glass as far as im aware..its no show piece,but seems very reliable in the time hes had it ( about a year i would guess) hes wanting 2750 or near offer
Does this seem reasonable? As i said,its not the best condition but nothing major...

Does'nt sound a bad price,but does it have the 2003 dodgy engine..?

All i really know of the truck tbh is..shortly after getting it he had a starter motor fault that we sorted and a over heating issue which seems to be sorted..i know nothing else really..i dont get chance to see him much these days as hes a delivery driver and is always on the road but if anything had gone wrong i know he would tell me..

So your saying the money hes asking is right? Thats all i needed to know really

That said,mines 03 and theres no way on gods earth mine would go that low

i think my 2005 has got the 2003 dodgy motor in it. not going there

daz the market price will go down as spring approaches I bout mine 2 half years ago for£3200 bud 05 plate so bargains to be had different times of year bud I would think 2k-2.5k would be right for ya mates

Tbh guys..from what ive read here and many other places,i think all classics had dodgy engines..i dont think year comes into it

Yeah the 2003 is long quoted as a bad year, but now that their all cracking on a bit I don't think they've been proved any more liable to failure than any of the FBW classics, many of the 2004 and 2005 models have went the same way.

I had a very clean 2003 with FSH and 80k and 6 months ago as a standard truck I would have been after about 3k, if its a bit rough then I'd think £2250 to £2500, but £2750 is a fair starting point

If you take the 2 off the front and the 50 off the end then you end up with what i paid for a 52 plate with 130k on it !

But then again it does need a new head and various bits and bobs to make it decent.
