2.8 engine conversion

#1 by Chammy 1988 ( Guest ) , Wed Feb 19, 2014 10:56 am

Hey has any one done a conversion of putting the 2.8 engine and gearbox in a crewcab l200 I have a mk2 shogun that I am willing to donate to my new l200 just wonderd if it is straight forward the mounts look the same the wiring I can sort both of them are manual I am fairly good with this stuff but wanted to no if any one has done it as when I start I have two days to sort it ready for work on Monday
This conversion in my eyes would make the truck a beast of a machine as I find the standard l200 2.5 very under powerd under geared and bad on fuel as the older shoguns seem a bit better at all of these
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
