Help with gearbox parts

#1 by Nefas ( Guest ) , Thu Feb 20, 2014 11:38 am

I inherited a 1994 L200 K34 a few weeks ago, unfortunately the gearbox then went and although there is only minor damage a few parts are needed to get it back up and running. Mitsubishi say they can't identify the truck from the chassis number i have provided and so i'm stuck getting parts. The truck was imported 15 years ago after a tour in cyprus so thats not helping. Does anyone know someone who might be able to help with parts or a replacement gearbox.
Thanks in advance.

Wenn Sie hier auf Links zu eBay klicken und einen Kauf tätigen, kann dies dazu führen, dass diese Website eine Provision erhält.

You can get a breaker-box off ebay. Identical to the Mk 1 pajero boxes. Alternatively and with a little creativity you can go for a box from a newer vehicle and cheat the gearbox ECU. The 4d56 has the same bellhousing mounts all the way up to 2005.
I love the old trucks, glad to see someone else is keeping one running

Thanks Diggerman, I'm in the South East as well. Once I get my proper login I might have to get some help to ensure I pick the right box.
