It's gotta go

#1 by phill200 , Wed Mar 19, 2014 12:27 pm

My truck has reached the end of the line with me as I dont need it anymore.

It is a 2003 classic
Red over silver
90 odd thousand miles (i'll check exactly when I get home)
MOT'd until september (again i'll check when I get home)
Tax runs out at the end of this month.

It's just had the bottom pulley changed and new belts fitted & a new battery was fitted a couple of months ago.
The engine and gearbox are spot on but the clutch is on the way out.
All the electrics work properly.
No tears or rips in the seats
It has a tub liner.
The Tub has a large dent over the nearside rear wheel (it's been there since i've owned it.)
It rattles and vibrates like a good un (probably the UJ's) but it starts on the button every time.
I've tried to be as honest as possible about this truck. It's not a show truck but it works.

I'm looking for £1000 ovno

Sounds a bit cheap to me... Almost like there is something lurking under the surface. Pics of the dent and the rest might justify the price...?

You either want it or you don't. I'm not fussed either way but I think i've been very honest in the description. Please don't come on here leaving posts suggesting that i'm trying to hide something. I'll be taking pics tonight and anyone is welcome to come and have a look at it. You can even come and look at it when i'm not there so that I can't hide anything from you if you want.

Sorry @phill200 didn't mean to cause offence, just suggesting that at about the £1500 mark you would assume that it was fine, you just want a quick sale. £1000 is "spares or repairs because the crank broke" kind of money. Although, at £1000 with no faults and just really keen to get shot of it it'll be gone within a week I'd say.

The engine is sound (well as sound as an L200 can get) but as the tax runs out next week and I have no use for it anymore I just need to get rid of it.
If someone wants to give me £1500 instead of £1000 I'll happily take it lol!!

I'm sure you would!
Not wanting to sound like a creepy stalker but where you thinking about shifting this last year? have you tried chucking it on e-bay for £1500?

I was going to get rid of it last year fella but I didn't really get my finger out and put it out there.
I've just bought a Ford Focus to replace it.
I will put it on ebay if nobody on here wants it.

Update:
93658 miles
MOT'd until 22nd september

I have taken some photos but I don't know how to upload them to here. If someone is willing to do this for me i'll email them the pics.
