bought a l200 the temp hand sits at 3/4
the man i bought of said it needs a summer
stat cause its a winter one in at present
would that cause the temp to sit a bit high
is this true as havent paid for jeep yet as he using it to saturday

Gizmo, does the temp guage sit there dead steady when driving..? albeit it higher up the guage.. if so I would suspect the temp sender is at fault rather than the thermostat, if there is two senders.. (post 2002) then it's the one with just a single wire connection, if you only have one.. it'll be that one mate..LOL
After 2002 they installed another temp sender for the ECU to work with..

its a 2004 anamail 2.5 diesel yea it sits steady at that temp

Likely the sender then...only around £10 so a very good starting point..

cheers whats the diffrence between the stats seen ones think it was 76 degress and the other one was 82 i think

That'll be around 1mm on the guage
