Fibreglass question

#1 by dazmanf , Mon Jun 09, 2014 8:11 pm

I'm looking to cast off a surface but how do I stop fibreglass from sticking to it, tried tin foil and plastic.
Tin foil was a ballox to peel off the fibreglass and plastic rise up leaving an unflat surface

Must send a pm
I know that greases etc will contaminate the surface prior to prep and paint

Much as it pains me to say so publicly, my money's on WB and his petroleum jelly.

Which is still better than my petroleum jelly is on WB and his money...

Isopropyl alcohol seems the best bet - evaporates very rapidly and doesn't affect (most) plastics.

I've decided to distance myself from all responses, having stumbled upon this thread while searching for "clean up petroleum jelly".

It honestly took me till halfway down the page before I realised what they are talking about. Yeuch
