hi all i have a 2003 l200 4life yesterday i put it in to 4wd low and a awfull clicking noise was coming from it
but once i put it to 2wd it quit what would it be
soundeed the way a cv joint is gone in a car when full lock is on if that helps any

Were you driving on a loose surface in 4WD? These trucks need a loose surface to function in 4wd otherwise you will break something.

It could be your CV joints, they are only driven when your are in 4H or 4L and may not click when not being loaded

If it was a deffo CV type noise then it'll be a front CV joint, the rear shafts ro the day to day driving and the fronts have no actual drive through them until you engage 4WD
