Hi everybody,
I'm getting ready to give the motor its first 100k service "08 Raging Bull"!!!
is it just a normal oil & filter change??? or considering this is a landmark 100k are there any specials I need to take care of???
all advice will be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Cass.

Don't think its cambelt, think thats every 62500 on the new shape, always worth checking though.....I think it would depend very much on your previous service history/servicing

Thanks Krutly & Ronniecabers,
                                             I changed the timingbelt @ 65k
had to put a new EGR in @ around 78k
and changed the fuel filter @ 90k "this sorted out the limp mode problem I was having"... so are the tappets troublesome??

I dont think it's a big deal with the tappets, perhaps @Basil may be able to confirm as I'm sure his are just about due for adjustment

Tappets are quite a big job from memory, both inlet and exhaust manifold have to come off, I'm sure there is a write up on here somewhere.

went into the stealers last week to price 62k service - to inc all fluids, tappet check (if theyre ok, they dont do anything) £550 plus vat! then at 62k miles, cambelt change - £390 plus vat ! no reduction if both done at once as one is from above, the other from the front - fecked from all directions!

What if you supply the parts from our friendly neighbourhood suppliers... Might drag down those atrocious main line price tags? or is your warranty/lease fooked if you don't use Mitsi bits?
