I much prefer the classic shape. Hopefully a 2005/6.

Look for the belts being done, the Green 4x4 light coming on with the ignition and then going off , same with the SRS light (orange)..
Service history is always a benefit , but not always true, unless it's dealer servicing...

also check to make sure the temp needle sits half way and doesn't rise, make sure there are no bubbles in the expansion tank, check the bottom pulley (with all the belts on) doesn't wobble.

why not join the forum and get yourself upgraded(it's free to join and upgrade)
there may be someone in your area who can recommend a dealer (or one to avoid) or even look over a truck with you ?
Not everyone gets to see this bit of the forum so you will get a limited response. On the main forum there are loads of members form all over the country and overseas who may be able to answer your questions.
There are a few trucks in the "for sale" section of our forum too at the moment
I think there is a 52 plate warrior, a 53 plate animal and an 04 plate 4life at the moment
all depends on what part of the country you are in ........ and what country for that matter
