Pictures to follow (it is 1am) but I bought an unused arc welder off a member of the mig-welding forum for £25 and, as with so many late night purchases, I don't have much use for it.

Suffice to say, it's yer standard 100A buzz (transformer-based) welder so will probably cope with plate, aka bodywork, steel. You're not going to rebuild the Forth Rail Bridge with it but a bit of Austin Allegro rear wing should be no problem (assuming you can arc-weld, which I cannot).

Hence the bargain price. No postage, I'm afraid, but if you're in a nice part of central Scotland I may be tempted to head your way and drop it off.

Skot give the arc welding a try mate I find it easier than my mig dont ask me why

Got a 210A arc welder, Lee, which is why the 100A one is going

Is it fan cooled or does it just cut out when it gets hot?

Uhhh... dunno - I've never let it get hot

I'll have a look over the next couple of days and post some pics and specs.
