Hi
Ive had a few problems with the engine light coming on and it seems to be down to the EGR.
So last night i put a blanking plate in. This morning on the way to work the light came on again.
Its off now after i unplugged it and plugged it back in again.
Is this common????

I've heard that the newshapes are prone to needing the manifold decoking and the tappets adjusting especially as they get older and the miles increase. Not much benefit has come from removing or blanking the EGR (or cat) on newshapes as far as I remember.
Why not register here and become a member (it's free) and get yourself upgraded so you can see all the forum.Not everyone can see this bit of the forum so why not post up a thread with whatever code you have and see what others say about it. There is a detailed "how to" explaining how to decoke your manifold and adjust your tappets.
