Hi guys, just had a new engine fitted to truck couple of weeks ago but have noticed when in 3rd or 4th with revs at 2200 to 3000 it seem to lack power and strange noise from engine and harsh vibration. This only happens when you get to the rev range above , past 3000 and under 2000 it seem ok. Any thought's what this could be? Thanks in advance

Turbo not kicking in for some reason?

Fuel filter can cause a lack of power at 2500 to 3000 rpm.

is the turbo set up correctly
is the timming spot on
are the balance belts ok

Balance shafts not timed up properly will do this, or no balance bely fitted

could this be related to the air con and the eml light me possibly thinks so @brooker25tdi

take it back and tell them to take a second look

All sorted 2 vac pipes connected wrong way round, all good now
