Recurrent eng shutdowns

#1 by nev4 ( Guest ) , Wed Nov 26, 2014 1:31 pm

Had loads of probs with eng warning lights coming on and virtually shutting down
Switched off then restarted all clears except eng management light - runs ok for days with eml light on then one day clears itself on starting up.
Dealer ckecked and found zilch.
Kept happening so let dealer look again - replaced rail ?? cost £1250 returned ok
Next day problem back - left with dealer for days to check cold starting in mornings - they said pin connection to rail harness faulty and got back running ok.
Next day problem back...........................................Anyone got any ideas????????????????

Happy New Year guys.

Bought scanner as advised, and have been monitoring each time I get the eng shutdown into limp mode problem.

Fault light code each time is 00093 signifying serious fuel leak, which obviously isn't the case, so think its a faulty sensor.
Anyone else had this on the same truck - L200 Warrior 2006 2.5 TDI ?

Possibly pressure sensor on fuel rail...P00093 has come up wihin the forum before and I beleive the cause was the pressure sensor @LezT will be able to advise

I have the same problem and it's driving me mad I've replaced fuel pressure sensor but still doing it feels like I'm on and off the throttle all the time or like boost kicks in then off
