random new question about chassis

#1 by redandy ( Guest ) , Thu Nov 27, 2014 6:28 pm

Hello all

I'm looking at an L200 for my next car. I want something different to theC70 covertible i used to have... this is pretty different! just a few Qs if you please..

did they do a petrol engined one in the egg0shape body? i havent seen a UK one, did they do one abroad?

how do you remove the load tray on the double cab - a few bolts or is it welded?

whats the consensus on size maximums for bigger wheel & tyre combo? I want the monster truck look, but just on normal suspension (as opposed to raised), and I dont want to completely ruin the ride/handling.

many thanks.

oh, and which is faster, red, silver or black? *runs for cover*

egg0shape - well it is! I don't know the chassis codes or stuff like that - as Roy always advised: "Say what you see"

thanks for replies :)

bit of a thread revival, but...

any advice on the biggest wheel/tyre combo please?

after a bit of hiatus, i think i may be in th market at last for the L200.

can you do a body lift at the back and leave the fornt as the lord intended, or does it have to be even front and rear?

where does one obtain the morette style headlights? i understand they are like rocking horse poo though..? if not, i want blackheadlights- which are better - the single light or the double projector style? by best i mean which actually light the road farthest and most evenly?

thanks

I think 265 70 17s are the biggest you can go on a newshape without mods
body lift would have to be front and back especially on a newshape due to the curve of the bed
headlights come up now and again on ebay
try googling "flyeyeskit" for something a little different for headlights
