Black Friday Deals

#1 by krutly , Fri Nov 28, 2014 2:33 pm

Just thought I'd stick this thread up for us to share our black friday deals
Did you get any good deals ? if so share them on here
do you think it's all a load of nonsense ? tell us why
is it a good thing for the economy or just a publicity stunt ?
did you try and go online only to find the websites had crashed ?
did you queue up at any stores to get a bargain ?

It is not for me, I only venture into towns if I really need to!

A bloke at work seemed to have a good idea though....he stayed up late weds night\ Thursday morning and reserved a few item's through "click and collect" at Curry's .....they hold them until Friday for you and you don't pay until you collect , so if the price goes down you get them at the cheap price! Seems a good idea and your not committed to buy either

I picked up a 16gb microSD card for my new dashcam in sainsburys today for £4.99 Does that count? No signs of craziness, although there were a few more people in Dyas' than usual.

...but generally I think it's a terrible thing seeing all these consumers fighting over tellys like they were overdue food handouts from the red cross.

I just bought a pizza from asda, one of the made in store ones. Got it to the till and they had put the wrong sticker on, so it was £2.60 not £3.50, does that count?

A useful deal for us types perhaps? Biggest discount I've seen yet on one the Halfords professional socket sets... 200 piece for £125, a 58% reduction!

Haven't heard a bad word said about them?
