Wheel sizes

#1 by Hornstar , Thu Feb 19, 2015 6:55 am

Good morning chaps, a quick question for ya, I am currently looking at a set of wheels on Fleabay, they came off a 07 L200, is the stud pattern the same as the 04? I have a feeling their not the same, but would appreciate a bit of clarification.
Thanks

I beleive stud patern could well be the same BUT I think new shape wheels don't clear the calipers and thus don't fit....or is it the other way round..that old shape don't fit new shape....not helpful was it!

there was a guy on here called scrappy7 who bought all sorts of different wheels and tyres that he intended to fit to his classic. All from newshape trucks ....... and all of them didn't fit. I think he ended up with 4 sets of wheels and tyres in the end. I think the reason they didn't fit had much to do with the offset and the front hubs not fitting through the wheels.

I think the centre bore of a new shape is smaller than the classic...

They were 22" wheels & brand new tyres.....the guy said they were on his 07 plate L200....they were selling for peanuts! But based on the feedback from here I did not want to throw £150 down the drain, the auction has ended now, so no big deal, I was only buying em to have as a spare set sort of for very little money.
Thank you all the same people.
