Intercooler

#1 by dazmanf , Sun Aug 30, 2015 2:21 am

So after mentioning it a couple of years back, I might finally get round to flaring the hood scoop but I have a question.
If I make the scoop inlet for the intercooler bigger, will it affect the units normal workings at all or will it just work as normal as I hope?

It'll be fine, Greater volume of air = greater cooling effect, one would expect?

That's it, just flaring and slightly raising, causing a bigger mouth for airflow which in turn, I hope will make the truck look cool.

If you really wanted to get scientific about it fit an IAT gauge on the charge post intercooler and record the difference before and after.
