Alternator

Hi Guys
After dispairing and replacing three alternators it appears the pipe going in to the top of the thermastat is leaking into the alternator. so i have purchased a top pipe and o ring. does anyone know if this will cure it or has had a similar problem can anyone help me??

usually people with alternator problems have the problems due to dunking them in water when off roading
does sound like you need to sort the leak out though as that cant be good

those pipes just push in generally a new o ring is all that is needed but get a genuine o ring the generic ones have been know to leak due to poor fitment

Lots of good quality silicone sealant . Cheap insurance.
Yes in theory you shouldn't need any in reality do you wanna do it to have it leak a week later...
