Eml light question on behalf of a chap over here in Norn Iron

Guys. I have a 02 l200. I believe the engine has been replaced with that from a shogun. 2.5. The engine management light is on. But 5 different diagnosis computers won't read anything. As in.....won't connect to the ecu at all. Any ideas as to y this is

check the wires in the back of the plug

I mentioned it to him before, trying to get him and his mate to join. Doing a Christmas meet over here soon, hopefully get it sorted
