Abs light

#1 by handymanat39 , Thu Oct 29, 2015 5:51 pm

Hi all
Driving home last night and the abs light came on, when you start up the light will go out but after a minute the light will come on faint to start and then gets brighter. If you key off as going along (straight with no cars nearby) the valves in the body go mad, if you brake on grass the abs works ?.
Bad earth ?.
Any ideas ?
Many thanks in advance.

I'd go with dirty ring making a false contact bringing up the light. Might Just needs a good clean.

Thanks for the quick replys, I don't off road just put my dogs in the back.
just a thought I am sure that when starting the green 4x4 light should flash ?, if you select 4 wheel or low then the light comes on and it all works.

Just a thought then....if you key on and the abs does it's check the light should stay off until you move and it can't count the rings and then put the light on. .?
