Just don't do what I did and try ram the dash back in and put the windscreen thru. My old man thought it was hilarious as he walked past and saw me do it. I wasn't as easily amused. Certain words were said and it cost me £50 excess for a new one.

Ouch Mallinman, thats the sort of thing that would happen to me lately, I've had some fairly sh1tty luck with anything I've touched in the last two weeks (even put the Mrs off-limits just to be safe!!!!).
Thanks for posting up. Presume yours was an a/c'd truck and you've kept the a/c?
I just have to motivate myself to do it too, have been having fatal thoughts about selling her - but she hasn't done a lot wrong apart from being **** on fuel. (He said, having bought a 3.7 petrol Cherokee last week as a project...)

Question - mallinman - did you have to replace the dash controls too? I notice from fleabay that all of the control panels seem to show three positions on the direction of flow dial whereas mine has 5 or 6 (will check in the morning).

Mine gets 330 miles out of a tank if it help makes u feel better. But it does have half a tonne of steel protection round it and large mud tyres. U can tune these engines quite a bit. Is yours FBW??

Mine has got a mechanical pump. Not electric. No ecu's or crap like that. It's y I bought it. I hate electrics as they always go wrong on me. And they don't like water. Mine is also a manual gearbox.

I suspected as much Mallinman.
I presume there was no way the ingeniously small-anded of us could get the heater box out from underneath to save taking the dash out?
I have a thread going about a possible change to a pram - not sure if I can be bothered to spend a whole day taking a dash out on something I may not keep, plus I am flat-out with work!
Thx
