Not sync how to describe this but here goes.

My EML came on today so I checked the owners manual, it said the EML only applies to petrol engines??? The EML went off after that and hasn't been back on since.

So is the owners manual wrong or not?

Should I be worried about the light?

Yes, eml does come on for both petrol and diesel engines.

mine has come on in the past after heavy acceleration , usually turning off and waiting 60 seconds has reset it
never bothered adjusting my overboost (probably what it is) as it only happens once or twice a year

if he answers my origianl question of when did it happen and what exactly were u doing we may be able to help, but yeh probably OB

I was just driving normally it came on until I stopped, didn't come on when I started up again. Hasn't been on since.

driving normal for one is not the same as another though

at lest it is off now, the code will be stored so if you get it read and post it up

Most likely cause is overboost, check the 'how to' section to adjust your turbo
