Getting high. And firm.

Fruits of today's labour.

Should help with the weight carrying, no more riding the bump stops. Not ridden with any extra weight in it yet other than the heavier body but is very good with hardening the ride and lifting so the leaves smile again.

Bit of a load going in it on Wednesday so I'll report back then...

On a side note. Just Hammerited under side of new tipping body prior to waxoyling tomorrow (I know there's better stuff on the market but it's readily available and I'll do it regularly) is it worth hammeriting over the rusty bits of the chassis before waxoyling or will that just prohibit waxoyling from working on the rust? Think you can just about see what I mean on the photos. It was dark when I finished. And wet. Very wet.

Now for more ale.

Looks a good job bud. Hammerite is supposed to inhibit rust 2. Same as the waxoyl. Only difference is the Hammerite will set hard where as the waxoyl doesn't set fully. Might not chip off as easy.

Air ride on an L200! I've often wondered how it would ride / feel. How is your pressure control set up? Can you soften it for going off road and stiffen it for load carrying? What about ride height? Please report back with updates....

My tipping conversion is 400kg heavier than standard back so even with updated springs (5+1) they sat flat with no load in it. Air bellows are both pumped up to together to firm up springs and increase height. Then pressure can be released in each bag separately for uneven load. So far it feels like it's going to save me a lot of heartache and improve work no end. Average air pressure to keep it at is 0.5bar but 1-3bar is under load pressure. Can be pumped up to 7 bar!
