Roll Bar Fitting - 05 Classic

#1 by Kwiksliver , Tue Dec 29, 2015 2:06 pm

Hi, I have just bought a chrome roll bar for my Warrior on ebay and wondered if anyone could give me some advice or tips when fitting it (or maybe tell me where I can find some instructions)?! I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to tinkering with it as I've only had it a few months. It's a double cab with bed liner.

Any help appreciated

Thanks, Matt

Hi mate, where are you located.(may be a member nearby that could show you a fitted one)
I would position the roll bar in place marking the drill holes then remove and drill out your holes.Mind put a bit of anti rust paint on the bare metal.try out stainless steel bolts in the holes before fitting then remount the bars and bolt on .No harm in putting a thin layer of rubber between the bars and the tub to stop any marking.

Krutly is the nearest member I know down your way from the Barnstaple area with a classic and rollbars. You can take a look at the forum map to try and locate a closer member.

Cover the areas that are going to be drilled with masking tape the position the bars so you can easily mark the holes with a pencil. Also allows you to measure from fixed points to ensure you are fitting the bars squarely.
