#1 by surfer , Thu Feb 18, 2016 8:13 pm

Even though I signed it in his car under the interior lights,he stopped me at 18.20 and wrote 16.20
Are you guessing lee lol
How would I go about it not being valid?

Stand up in court and prove that you were in a different place at that time and you are then innocent 😏

I think you'd struggle to get out of this as its a genuine mistake. You'd have to prove that it wasn't you as rob said and stand up in court bearing in mind you actually signed it to say you agreed with it all.

I'd seek proper advice (not from us numpties) as you may get lucky but the fact you've signed it proves it was you regardless of time.

ive seen a lad with a spelling mistake on his name get off with it, just say it wasn't you, and if they prove it was, then pay the fine.

Please don't go to court and say it wasn't you, a conviction for attempting to pervert the course of justice carries a far more severe penalty than a traffic ticket.
There will be a timed entry in the cops notebook, they will have done a timed and auditable PNC check, and they will have possibly raised an incident which will corroborate the actual time.
By all means spin the wheel of fortune, but if you go to court and loose your fine will be a lot more than the penalty on the ticket.

Yes it was the road I was caught on the truck couldn't get up to the speed limit as there wasn't enough road to do it on
Bloody stupid really as I try my hardest to stick under 70 ,a momentary lapse on my behalf ,I was in no rush to be anywhere just didn't keep an eye on my speedo
Back to a truck me thinks,I can do with out this power crazy machine it has a devil under the bonnet
Ah well at least my diets going well I've lost 100 pounds ( see what I did there)

I'd write back to advise that they must have gotten the time wrong - unless they're able to change it and send you a new one, I don't think they can enforce it. Worth having it documented though; write a letter and keep a copy for yourself. If they issue a new amended ticket, then fair enough.

If it's only a TOR then you may be offered a speed awareness course rather than a fine and points. Wait to get the letter and then advise them the time is wrong and ask if it's still valid.
