Rear Tailgate Protection

#1 by woodside ( Guest ) , Sat Nov 05, 2016 1:12 pm

Hi
Just got a brand new L200 and am urgently looking for someway of protecting the top edge of the tailgate. I have a liner and the full top. My old one had a liner that covered top edge this one doesn't and need to protect it from scratching. Any ideas?

You can buy clear protective film. 3M is a good make.
@animal may be able to advise better and where to get it from.

As Nick said ,you can buy stone chip guard film , it's a rubberized clear sticker that you can cut to size and stick on . Or if you want something a bit more permanent you could buy some tintable raptor spray , and mix it with the same colour as your truck , but once it's on , it's on if you know what I mean .
