Glow plugs need checking/renewal
Fuel is draining, try fitting a non return valve before the filter.

@Major Malfunction - Have been wondering about the fuel draining back to the tank - mine had this problem badly when the fuel filter wasn't fitted right (someone had put in a non return valve that didn't work, now removed). Even now it seems to do it very slightly. I can't see how this is possible though unless there is an air leak somewhere between the filter and the injectors?I have a slight misfire and bit underpowered - any thoughts?

Check around the injectors for leaks.
Check the top of the stack pipe going into the fuel tank.
Check the fuel pump for leaks.
If the fuel filter was misaligned then damage may have been done, also the rubber seal may not be sitting correctly.

There's no obvious leaks anywhere, stack pipes were a bit rusty so replacing them at the moment, but still does it when running off a can going straight to the injector pump. Have read of a few people with this exact problem, but never found a solution. Will start a new thread when I have a bit more time to write down a full list of symptoms and what I have checked.

I installed clear pipes and found a leak at injector pump were leak of goes in and return pipe comes out it was 2 copper washers as I noticed it dripping it like mad but that's fixed I think it could be either buzz bar or plugs
