Where abouts have you got your cb mounted in the truck is it in the cubby hole coz I used to have a midland alan but didn't have the truck then

it is mounted in the cubby hole at the bottom of the dash, I cut a hole in the bottom of the cubby hole as it was not deep enough

Just sold a superstar 3900 which is a factory expanded 360, is it a 40 channel rig or a side bander your after?

I'm currently running a Mk2 cobra IMO the best CB / sidebander radio ever made

80 channel fm sets are the norm nowadays 40 for the euro channels and the old UK 40

I was away from it for 16 years Lez and fired up me old cobra in the truck last year, heard Brazil coming through, gave a call cq dx and got the Qso it was is if I'd last done it yesterday
The skip is awesome at the moment, it's the peak of the 7 year skip cycle, you'll work the world from the truck with a decent twig.

There are some really compact side banders these days, I do however prefer the 70's / 80's radios, but im going to buy the cre8900 as it's din sized for the radio slot and move the stereo down to the cubby

If it's just a basic rig you want i'll keep an eye out for ya

You have wet my appetite now, if you come across a half decent sidebander I could very well be interested.
Maybe a set of 500s and Sigma4 on the roof.... we know why that cannae be dont we.

Lez I can also recommend the anytone 5555 or Mass dx5000 ( same radio) these are fully programmable by a pc, no conversions or screwdrivers required they go for about 100 second hand or 150 brand new
