Hi were hoping to buy a 2007/2008 l200 in a couple weeks , just wondering is the auto gearbox any good or prone to faults, just there seems to be a lot of autos about and cheaper than the manuals , any help info would be appreciated as we have a disabled little boy and don't want to be stuck with a lemon of a jeep, cheers[help]

Hi @Liebherr945 welcome to the forum. There is more information available in here on that age of truck but there are few problems with the gearbox from that generation. Every so often (rarely) there is a wiring fault on them with a harness being pulled too tight but it is so rare it would not feature highly on a list of things to watch out for. Go test drive the truck or a few of them and see how you get on with the auto box. Do stick around for more help, advice and fun. Membership is free if you want to sign up fully
