I have that in mind, the camera would have to be routed through something to add in the other one, or just feed the power to the camera from the ignition and have a constant rear veiw..

Wenn Sie hier auf Links zu eBay klicken und einen Kauf tätigen, kann dies dazu führen, dass diese Website eine Provision erhält.

Not sure if I'm understanding the second camera option, but you can get 2 to display at once in a rear view mirror without the need for switching between them,

Yep colin, mine is like that there are two video feeds in, screen switches between each camera or both at once. or camera and a dvd player if you prefer.
They are both fed in via seperate video leads, each camera to its own live feed which can be one to reverse light and one to any other live feed, each cam has video (bnc lead) to the screen, screen switches from one to the other or both live in split screen.
Only one live feed (and earth) to the screen which can be from any ignition controlled earth. If mirror mounted can use live to courtesy light and factory earth in roof next to it.

Colin, if you have one fitted low down for coupling up to a caravan or trailer, it is not in a great position for rear veiw as a replacement for the mirror, thats why we were talking about 2 camera's.

Get a camera or camera and screen set one with 14 infra red leds from e.bay camera alone is about £14 from a british supplier can buy a seperate screen as you wish for same but make sure it is compatible, most screens are automatically swithched between pal an NSTC systems.

Doesn't touch it at all.

Though the tow ball hits the door when it is lowered, need to sort that...

Another option for the camera, if you have plenty time on your hands and the patience, is to drill/file/dremmel a hole into your high level brake light. That way all the wires are out of sight.

It fits between the bulbs so doesn't effect lighting.

Good practice or drilling the hole when it comes to fitting the snorkel....

I think he's going to practice that by just drilling random holes in his truck!

you can have 2 cameras if you wish. A high cam would angle down too.
I have seen a screen that takes up to 4 cameras also.
Why would you want your sat nav screen to give you mpg readouts?
