Pressure switch installation?

#1 by Yoda , Sat Jul 14, 2012 12:26 pm

Hi guys, I have been reviewing the instructions for the WI kit. It all seems fairly straight forward. But I'm not sure where to put the pressure switch that enables the system when under boost. Obviously it has to go in a vacuum line somewhere, but not knowing the vacuum system very well I don't know which one?

IF it stops raining this weekend I will fit it. At the least I have reviewed everything enough that I know what I am doing.

Luke, have you got a Boost Pressure Sender and Guage fitted, if you have, just use the same line that the pressure sensor is in.
If not, fixed to the back of the intercooler is the boost pressure sensor which will register boost pressure, 'T' into that vacuum hose ( it's pressure not vacuum though, even if it looks like vac) and it will vary a pressure level along with the manifold boost pressure.

No I don't have a boost gauge fitted. I figured it would be the same line to T into. Just didnt know where that was. I'll take a look at the back of the intercooler then. Cheers Lez.
