RE: Greigys truck

Had the truck in the workshop tonight, got the extended front brake hoses done, drilled & bolted the sides of the front bumper so they are secure, modified & lifted the A bar back in line with the bumper, swapped the two front tyres side to side as they were wearing on one edge due to the torsion bars being wound up, replaced the rear numberplate lamps with LED ones.

Still got the gear sticks to sort so will do that on thurs night.

I had it done years back but my b!tch dentist wouldn't believe I could still feel everything after the injection. I was in agony for a fortnight.

It's the same one which needs redone, with a nice dentist so hopefully won't be so bad this time.

Doesn't mean I can play the sympathy card and be looked after though does it

Noticed during the week that the front brakes were binding so got it in the workshop tonight, O/S/F top caliper piston was siezed & N/S/F top slide was starting to sieze. Freed them both off & fitted new ADL brake pads (£16.00 inc vat). Finaly after 2 years fixed the reverse switch so I will be able to see lamposts behind me now. Re secured the exhaust at the rear as the rubber mount was worn.

Then I washed it

Lez shackles & pro comp shox fitted, had to make my own lower shock mounts as I got landrover shox by accident but the bottom mount is now 100% stronger than the silly mitsi pin idea

Got truck into work tonight, recharged aircon so nice & chlly for the coming heatwave

Fitted the second hand steering idler as the old one was majorly fecked.

Replace the glow plugs as I suspected they were shot which turned out a good call as 3 of them didnt work

still more to do though as I still have to replace the steering box, front shox & various other stuff.

I didnt get pics steve as my hands were goggin so didnt want to touch my phone. TBH changing the steering idler is pretty straight forward, 3 bolts & a ball joint. glow plugs are easy aswell

Right, where to start.

2 weeks ago I fitted the LED recovery lights to the roofrack

Last week I fitted the Skid plates & Diff lock Diff. had to swap all the shafts & brakes over as the LSD shafts are not the same then replace the brake pipes as I had to cut the old ones off

Tomorrow I will be wiring up the difflock, sealling the hole I have at the drivers footwell, fitting rubber floormats inplase of the skirts under the drivers front wing ( to give the alternator some protection.
&
Fitting the new 285/75r16 Yokohama Geolander MT's I just got for £444

so Im gonna be busy
