Front panel

#1 by robl200 , Sat Dec 22, 2012 10:31 am

Ordered a new front panel today as mine is rather transparent and a little bent out of shape following a bit of over enthusiasm leaving Cadgers brae car park..... Oops!

Once it arrives I'll just have to work out how to stick it on....

It's mostly held on by spot welds.
When you get the new one it will have holes in it for the welds, find these on your existing panel and drill them out with a spot weld cutter.
Clean off the paint/rust and stick the new one back in the same place.
Normally you would put some tacks on then check the bonnet catch etc all lines up ok before welding proper.

Cheers for that, all the replacement panels I've seen come as one section. Mine is a mess from below the lights really...
