had a strange experience yesterday, was towing some kit on the m50 doing a steady 60mph when suddenly the eml, esp and another light appeared on the dash and there was a sudden loss of power, not enough to stop the car but a noticable difference. I pulled over and stopped the engine and restarted it, all the lights went out except for the eml and the car seems to be driving fine. When I had to make the journey back I noticed I'd lost the illumination on the dash and the rhr tail light was out, I've had this before when towing this trailer, it had blown a fuse but it was the lh tail light that was not working last time. Could there be a short somewhere in the trailer electrics that caused the eml light issue ??
