timing belt slipped

Hi help I had a crankshaft sensor failure while replaceing thought would be a good idea to renew timing belt Removed crankshaft pulley (what a pig) then tried to set timing marks TDC but cannot move pulleys more than an inch or two before hitting something solid .I assume belt has slipped and don't know what to do next

Is it a K74 ( pre 2006 generally ) or a B40 variant ( 2006-2015)
