Ask an Expert..... » external temp sensor

Its been quite cold up here recently but my external temp never seems to go below 0'. Is this a usual problem or are they quite accurate? Does anybody know where the sensor is so that i can check it and/or make sure its clear of all crap. I have a 2017 Barbarian. Thanks for any help.

it is in the front slam pannel behind bumper on the classic
