Relay Attacks

So who's got the convienent keyless starter and door locker?
Where do you leave your keys when you're out of the vehicle? Next to your bank card in a nice safe RFID proof wallet? Turns out if you said no, you should.

The most worrying part? The kit for doing this started in the thousands, last year the chinese did it for $22 per pair of transmitters.
So IMO, invest in an rfid pouch or similar. So what if it's a couple more seconds to unlock your car? Wouldn't you rather spend a couple of seconds than the time dealing with a stolen vehicle?
It reminds me of the old saying from a certain teenage class in school - "no glove, no love". So if you love your car, glove it.

I had a keyless system on a mustang in the states
I hated it because every time I tried the door to check I'd locked it , it opened as I had the keyfob thingy on me
we ended up with a system where I'd walk away from the car and mrs krutly would wait and check it was locked when I was far enough away
it also had a system where you could remotely start it without being in or near it ........ what could possibly go wrong with that eh ?

You had to check? You can hear the locks click on one of those from 100 yards! (another reason for the blocking wallet too)
