Hi guys as i have said on the other page which some of you may have seen
My l200 has failed its mot on rotten front cross member

I had alook at it and its total shot i would say beyond welding repair i cant seem to track down a crossmember in the uk but found a front panel on ebay link at bottom

What do these take to fit ?

And what is the mesh bit called that the bumper screws on as this is all rusted aswell

Many thanks

mesh bit what are you on about here? pics may help.
that front panel will require the old one cutting out and the new one welding in

I think i ment the lower bumper support ,

Part number for the front end from main dealer is MR981248

There is a few on ebay one for 90 quid and one for 120 the bloke with the 90 quid one
Says he not sure if it will fit as he cant match the part number the bloke with the 120 quid one says yes will fit fine
But they both look just the same is there really so many diffrent kinds of these i thought there was 2 old kind that had diffrence around the head lights then the new kind that has a circle cross member

Have a look in the workshop manuals towards the bottom of the forum - most have a parts list attached per year of production

Hey @markus19 - you'll probably find they're the same part, but Mitsi being an arse and using different part numbers - I'll try remember to have a look tomorrow.

The only difference I know of is the lower rad support, apparently up to 2001 /2002 had a smaller rad , FBW one had a deeper rad , as I've Been told the early one will fit but you have to cut the rad mounts off and lower them

The aftermarket parts do not seem to have the two brackets that have rubber bits on that the large rad sits on....

Looking good, did you manage to get the rad supports sorted?

I'm interested because I patched up my front panel recently and (although it wasn't as bad as yours) intend to replace it one day.

Yeah mate i could not find any for sale so i made some out of some sheet metal and some rubber bushes
Then found the sheet metal was to springy and was dropping so welded on some a steel pin each side to keep them from springing i wish now i had made from something more stronger then sheet metal
