I wonder if it would still work out cheaper to buy one of these, plus a few parts to put it together, than buying a new complete Safari one?

read the small print, you need a short lenght of flexy hose (must be to connect up with the snorkel) and hose clips, it also says no instructions provided but it does claim to have an accurate fitting template (I would still check before drilling truck)

I was thinking, with bits missing it's likely to be a cheap backstreet copy.

yes colin, you could be right, bits missing and no instructions, could be a copy from a mould of proper one.

It looks smililar to my fiberglass one but for the classic shape, I had to redo my whole snorkel as it was extremely thin and cracked, but its bloooody solid as hell now
Its defo not a safari as its made of fibreglass, but I suppose if your just doing a bit of wading it will be fine, I did see someone elsewhere poo poo these snorkels before, their logic was that if the rolled ther truck then a fibreglass one would probably break, I think if you roll your truck, a cracked snorkell will be the least of your woes
Just need to watch import duties could whack another few quid on top
