Reinstalling turbo..

#1 by Nik Rite , Thu Dec 12, 2019 9:57 pm

Job nearly done . you've to "prime" the oil pipe of the turbo to give it a head start before the job is assembled. Ive done an oil/filter change and was wondering re the wisdom if turning the engine over on the starter to circulate the oil into the filter and oil lines and in particular filling the oil line to the turbo is a good idea...any suggestions how to prevent it starting on turn over??? Ta Nik

Just a wee tutorial for my two sons on taking pride in yer graft. Saying that it wasn't difficult, the previous owner was a fekin cowboy. too busy with raptor paint and CB radios to bother with the important bits, not quite as shiny now tho, but still clean as a whistle, no leaks anywhere YET either. but I digress from the point. cheers Krutters.
How you gettin on with the job Nick?

Don't worry about the red wire you cannae disconnect it, just disconnect the whole block it's the largest of them at the bottom.

There are two smallish rectangular blocks at the top, then a triangular-shaped block, then a large rectangular one at the bottom, that's the bugger,
