Decided to sell 2010 Warrior

#1 by SJK , Tue Apr 09, 2013 3:37 pm

Due to my Great Dane getting on in years and finding it almost impossible. (Even with a ramp) to get in the back , I've decided to sell my Warrior.
It's a 2010 Double cab long wheelbase, 176BHP. Climate control, electric windows all round, electric mirrors, heated rear screen Colour coded wheel arches. it's done 33,500 miles, auto gearbox, full black leather interior, ally side steps, 5 alloy wheels, chrome rear bumper and a Mitsubishi colour coded truck top with interior light, sliding side windows and opening window between truck top and cab. Full Mitsubishi service history and has just flown through its first mot. It's never been used off road (I know, a waste). It also has towbar and pack, also has reversing camera (non Mitsi).
Minor imperfections. Couple of scratches on front near side arch extension (have been touched in), some scratches on top of the tailgate, caused by the truck top door, and a little bit of paint has just flaked off the roof bar on the truck top. Silver switchgear panel in drivers door, paint has worn.
Looking for offers around £14k. Pm me if interested. Here's some photos

Hi matey did you chip it to bring it to 176bhp? As the warriors normally came with 136bhp the 2012 onwards though come with 176bhp

That's how it came. It's got a Mitsubishi sticker on the B post stating 176 BHP

Cheers, will put it on eBay if no one on here is interested, sure it will sell. Almost forgot, it's also got a full load liner, including tailgate.

Okay, she's now on eBay. Fingers crossed. Also tried a local equivalent of "we buy any van". Got a not bad offer, but thought I'd push my luck on fleabay.

Did you take it to them or was it an online quote, these went any type places make an offer then kick you in the stones and make a much reduced offer in person

It was just an online quote. Unlike the main site they offered a range of price, but yes figured they would try and take the piss in person, hence eBay.

I've heard the same about them......you take the car along they check over it which takes ages.....keep you chatting...take a bit longer.....keep you chatting.....waste more of your day....make a silly offer as it needs "this and that and a bit more of this"! Waste more time then hopefully you will feel what the hell where do I sign or "get me outta here".....

Mate was offered £2k for his car online, went and turned up (somewhere around Newbridge, I recall) and the guy tutted and shook his head at every scratch and dent (it was a ten year old car) and, after all his deductions, came up with a figure of £500. Mate accepted it.

I asked him why and he said "well, I wanted rid of it and this saves me having to haggle and they guy made some valid points".

So it appears that they will take the p*ss as long as there are punters willing to be ripped off

If it comes to having to go to that option I will be more than ready to walk if I don't get close to their top offer, I'm trying to avoid part ex as I want to haggle a bit with cash in hand, but will do the part ex bit if that turns out the way to go. It's all a bit of a balancing act

Sadly stannah haven't branched out in that direction. Another option which came up tonight is that a customer of mine is the manager of a large local BMW dealership, which happens to have VW vans as part of the group. I want a VW caddy and he's going to see if he can wangle me a good deal/ part ex. Will be very sad to see her go, but I'll get another no doubt at some point.

Yeah bikes are definitely staying ! I'm going to regret selling the truck, but no option really. Although have to say there's not been much interest in it and I'm reluctant to let it go too cheaply.
