F/S Gucci parts - Alternator relocation kit.

#1 by Stick , Tue Apr 09, 2013 9:30 pm

Well, as i no longer own nor have intentions on owning another hardcore truck this piece of gucci kit is up for grabs.

This will require a 3" bodylift to fit, although i am under the impression that a 2" bodylift may see it very close to fitting.

This bracket replaces the original power steering bracket and will house a VAG alternator above the PAS pump. SImple unbolt your PAS pump, remove the bracket, fit this bracket and refit the PAS pump. Fit the alternator ontop of the bracket and re-wire the alternator from your old item to the new unit. Your old alt will run the vac pump and will happily plod along and do it s job. The alternator supplied is a VAG 180amp unit. This is double the power of the best L200 alternator that is fitted (90amp) and was awesome on my challenege truck. Any further questions then please holla

Price is £300. I can post out if required but that will be extra.

Tis a bit on the expensive side in my mind the alternator is available second hand on the dreaded bay at 80 notes so that makes the brackets 220 notes surly it could be fabed for less than that just my opinion thats all

I would as I've drowned my alternator before. It's easy to do in not a lot of water. However I would need to do some serious lifting 3"+ as there is naff all clearance under the K-34 bonnet. Good luck with it
