2008 L200 start up issue

#1 by NickB ( Guest ) , Tue Jan 21, 2020 11:50 am

Hi

I've not had the L200 long and apart from the rear leaf springs needing doing its been fine.

However the last few times from cold it has struggled to start and then will be a bit lumpy on idle.
Then yesterday it really struggled to start and I can't now drive it as when I put it in gear it won't rev up. The clutch bites but I can't accelerate. If I put it in P or N then I can rev it like normal. There are no error lights on the dash.

It's a 2.5 l diesel automatic.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

NickB

As Lee says it sounds like a broken wire in the loom to the Auto box, very common problem
