Oil in the coolant

#1 by Cornishscoob , Thu Jan 23, 2020 8:17 pm

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and interested if anyone has had similar issues to my L200, basically I've bought a Barbarian 2011 2.5 with over heating, pressurising and black oil in the radiator, I've got everything stripped now and apart from a very messy head gasket is there any common issues with the block or cylinder head for cracks that can cause oil in the water? I've had the oil cooler/modine pressure tested at a local engineer and it was fine. Hopefully a skim and all new gaskets and bolts it'll be okay.
Thanks in advance.
