ECU & DPF lights on

#1 by Greeny53 , Sun Mar 29, 2020 3:43 pm

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone can help- the DPF light and occasionally the ECU light keeps coming on on my 2012 Barbarian. I’m not convinced it’s the DPF (it’s been force re-generated) and still the light remains. The fault codes say it is an ‘Air Temp Sensor’ malfunction, but from what I can see either I’ve been done and the engines been changed or I’m looking in the wrong place for the Air Temp sensor. Has anyone seen this issue before or know where I can start to diagnose it?

Thanks for your time.

Sorry can't really help,
I never had my DPF light come on once, the only issue i had was the oil level rising.
Diesel mixing with the oil.
Partly because i only did very short trips and maybe because i had a tuning box fitted.

DPF light and EML light on together means your dpf is blocked and failed a regen, you need a MUT III diagnostic kit to communicate with it cause you maybe able to force regen it
