L200 bonnet still sitting to high after front end rebuild

Hi guys after rebuilding the front end on my l200 i still can get sorted why the bonnet wont shut correct...

if i wind up the rubbed dampers the bonnet sits higher then the left and right wing but if i wind the dampers right down to be level with the wings it then has push play in the middle and rocks when pressed left and right any ideas what ive done wrong ?

How do you ajust the hinges ?

Found this guide however it says fo loosen the striker bolts then move it about till it aligns but the bolts are straight through fit there is no play in the bracket for ajustment
